These are external hemorrhoids
In medical terms, hemorrhoids are supposed to represent the swelling, dilation of veins or blood vessels around the rectum (rectal venous plexus). Various factors have been identified as being responsible for hemorrhoids, and some of them include sex, pregnancy, genetics, age and even mood. Other factors include drug abuse, constipation, diarrhea, infections, spasms of the anus, obesity and increased intra-abdominal pressure. The signs and symptoms of hemorrhoids include the passage of bright red blood, anemia, bleeding, pain, congestion and edema. In general, there are two (2) types of hemorrhoids: internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids.
